Het opzet van dit forum
Our preoccupation and our research will be directed towards the muslim minorities in Belgium. This means the watching of the diverse social phenomenon, and their evolution, of those minorities both in a near and more distant future, following them in their different observable phases. Those notations and analyses will take into account the diversities of cultural and social Muslim organisations while taking certain measurements allowing to obtain ideas about the efficiency of the working of these organisations within the Belgian society, also taking into account the daily life participation in the social, cultural, politic and scientific fields.
The efficiency of these activities and researches lean op two major imperatives:
I – the financial support;
II - the natural propensity and willingness to make efforts in the field of science.
Nobody – and particularly the researchers in the domains of sociology – ignores the difficulties encountered by these researches into various languages and cultures, that have as a consequence to bring about discord in stead of consensus and mutual enrichment.
Facing that problem we pose dialogue and mutual respect in order to realize the principle of human exchange.
As the purpose of this forum is to provide a special service contributing to the communication, criticism, stimulation and the unification of research and the production of particularly significant and controversial works in the above mentioned field, appropriate submitted papers will be published in full on this site. The submitted papers will be judged solely on their scientific merits, not on the personal antecedents of their writer. Commentary on those papers may not only be provided by any qualified professional, but also by members of a more generally interested public. However, only those commentaries, criticisms, interpretations and elaborations which will be judged appropriate by the editors of this site, adding pertinent complementary and supplementary material from a cross-disciplinary perspective to the subject, will be eligible for acceptance to appear together with the authors response. It is the editors privilege to determine the duration of the appearance of any contribution on this site, but as a general rule the minimum time will be a month.
Contributions must not necessarily be written in English. Texts in Arabic, Dutch, French and German are equally welcomed.
